Arizona Again

Since we have been back for a week, I thought I would tell you about our trip down and what it has been like to be back.

Our trip to Mesa was quite uneventful (which on a road trip is a good way to have it).  The roads were clear and dry except in the Monida Pass (which is on the border betweeen Idaho and Montana),  but even there it was mostly ground drift and so not a real problem.  Just had to turn Cruise off.

We had cool weather with snow in the ground for the first two days of travel.  By day 3, we finally reached warmer weather.  I was glad to see the last of the snow!

It has been cool here in Mesa.  In the upper 30sF at night and in the high 50s or low 60s during the day  Still, I will take it over the weather we experienced in Saskatoon over Christmas any day.    It rained the first night we were back but it has been sunny since then. As Dalton says, you don't have to shovel sunshine.

Although it has been cool, the oranges on the tree next to us have finally ripened.  They are small, sweet but hard to peel.

The park activities are getting up and running.  The quilting classes start this coming week. Dalton's pool (as in cues and tables not wet and wild) group is getting up and runnong tomorrow.  And my Spanish class begins again on Tuesday.  I bought a grammar book since I need to know the structure and not just conversational phrases.  I think that if you just parrot learned phrases, you never learn to say other things.

We see that the weather in Saskatoon has moderated so we are glad for all of you back there.  Remember that the days are getting longer now so the worst will soon be over.  Keep warm!
